When I first came to Canada from Britain I had no idea of the vastness of the country. I remember seeing the great lakes from the air and I thought I was stil over the Atlantic but still the best way to get an idea of the scale of the country is not from the air, rather it is by travelling the roads and seeing the hour after hour of breath taking scenery along the way. I just returned from a long trip up north, well actualy even though we drove for two days we were actually only part way up the country! The North of Canada is amazing. The people are friendly and hardy and the terrain is very sweet. it's great to see the wildlife especially the buffalo roaming around and the deer and even bears!
After playing music at a family camp fr a week we made the long trek home again. On the second day we drove 14 hours which is a long day especially with young children. Memories are made of such things and I am glad that we put our selves out to create precious memories as a family. Upon returning I said to my wife Natalia, "well we made it and we still love each other and like each other!" anyone who has braved such a trip will understand what we meant.
When we got home the air in our town was thick with smoke as 3 major forest fires ravaged the outlying areas causing some 6000 people to be evacuated. Canada is a wild place but how I love it here.
Thanks for your kind interest in what I am up to. Many blessings
Graham.
