Afternoon tail gate party after the freedom ride biker rally. Downtown Kelowna

Calling all riders to saddle up and rev those engines (or push those pedals!) as our first fundraiser of 2012 kicks off with registration at 8am on the morning of May 5th, at Metro Central.

Our hope is for 200 or more participants, with motorbikes heading around Lake Okanagan with a breakfast stop midway at the 'Talking Donkey' Cafe in Vernon.

Meanwhile, the human-powered participants will head off on a course down the lake in the other direction.

The goal is for all to return for a massive tailgate party, celebration and concert with the Juno Award-winning band, The Cruzeros coming out of retirement to support this event.

Registration is just $75 (includes snack, goodies, lunch and concert!)

ARTISTS TO PLAY:

Ari Neufeld

Ari Neufeld is a self-made one man band, hailing most recently from the Okanagan. He plays guitar, piano, banjo (but usually guitar), while singing and keeping time through an amplified stompbox, with ethnic beads, nuts and bells strapped to his body. His performance covers a variety of genres from folk to pop, to new country, to rhythmic soul, to rock.

Nico Boesten

Nico is a husband, father, producer, singer-guy, drummer, entrepreneur, supporter of indie artists, soccer lover, and least importantly a novice land kiteboarder. He has toured throughout Europe, Africa, and Central America recording 5 full length CDs since 1998. The genre he gives himself is a groove-a-billy acoustic funk with more soul than a Korean fish market.
