Levite Summit

I am pretty stoked to be involved in Kelowna’s first Levite summit coming up soon Feb 15 -16th. It’s essentially a gathering of musicians, dancers and visual artists who are interested in ways of exploring their Art both in the faith context (church) and also in the wider community. I have had a heart for this kind of thing for as long as I can remember. I was originally inspired by the ideas that the author, Francis Schaeffer shared when he said that it is artists who translate lofty theological and philosophical concepts to the general public. I really believe that the Arts are a powerful way to share ideas with others. I am especially looking forward to playing music with some great musicians and learning some new stuff from some really talented communicators. Where	Stuart Park Kelowna (map) 1414 Water Street Kelowna, BC, Canada Located directly across from City Hall, Stuart Park connects Waterfront Park to Kerry Park. A boardwalk runs the entire length of the park along Okanagan Lake, and connects many of Kelowna's marinas.
Other Info	Graham Ord and Norm Strauss will perform withtheir band as part of the Kelowna Parks alive outdoor concert series. Other Info	Afternoon tail gate party after the freedom ride biker rally. Downtown Kelowna Calling all riders to saddle up and rev those engines (or push those pedals!) as our first fundraiser of 2012 kicks off with registration at 8am on the morning of May 5th, at Metro Central. Our hope is for 200 or more participants, with motorbikes heading around Lake Okanagan with a breakfast stop midway at the 'Talking Donkey' Cafe in Vernon. Meanwhile, the human-powered participants will head off on a course down the lake in the other direction. The goal is for all to return for a massive tailgate party, celebration and concert with the Juno Award-winning band, The Cruzeros coming out of retirement to support this event. Registration is just $75 (includes snack, goodies, lunch and concert!)

Other Info	Graham will perform along with many of the youth of Kelowna Vineyard in this special event to raise money for water drilling projects in areas of the world effected by famine. admission is by donation. All welcome.
