TALKIN’ ‘BOUT LOVE – NEW BLUES RECORD

What started as a project to keep father and son musicians sane in the COVID19 pandemic has now turned into something worthy to be shared with the world!

UK radio’s ‘best album of the year’ award recipient Dane Stevens lives in the UK and fell into the age demographic that had an enforced ‘stay at home’ lockdown. His son Graham Ord lives in Canada, 5000 miles away, where all gigs were cancelled. To keep musically active and to keep from going stir crazy they decided to write and record some new songs together across the internet.

“We started by sending our ideas recorded on our phones back and forth, and from those, we forged these brand new songs and recorded them in our respective home studios. By sending tracks back and forth across two continents we have now crafted an awesome new Blues record together over the internet”…….

We love opportunities to showcase our local Kelowna talent and this is one of those opportunities. Graham and Aaron Ord are a father and son duo who bring together guitar and celtic harp to create beautiful music. Graham performed a house concert here in 2015 as part of The Trips and we saw Aaron perform at a concert in West Kelowna in 2017. We are looking forward to seeing them perform together right here in our living room!

Our house concerts start with an optional potluck at 6:30 PM. The music starts at 7:30 PM. There is a 10 or 15 minute intermission and the concert usually winds up somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00 pm.

Concert is by donation. Recommended is $20/person and 100% of the proceeds go to the artist. Please encourage the next generation and bring your children who are old enough to remain quiet during the performance (no charge). You can pay at the door but please call, email or use the form on the 'contact us' page to let us know to expect you.

Be prepared to practice a little friendliness because most people arriving don't know each other at the start of the evening... but that all seems to take care of itself by the end.

On the road again christmas Tales 2019

So glad to be on the road again touring B.C. with the annual Christmas Tales tour with my friends Russ Rosen and Justyn Rees. This year we are joined by multi-instrumentalist and JUNO winner Shari Ulrich.  We have got two dates under our belts so far (and two turkey dinners!) The music is sounding so beautiful with our vocal harmonies being something we have tried to feature this year. Justyn’s story telling is as humourous as ever and is also very meaningful.

For tickets and information you can surf to http://www.christmastales.ca we would love to see you at a show. Please come and say hi.
